Director of Finance 

mySidewalk’s next Director of Finance will require someone that loves dissecting complex problems and distilling them down to clear decisions. This person will be creatively analytical with the ability to work across teams and align key metrics with critical business outcomes. With an eye toward process and an ear toward the customer, this person will help us invest in resources for future growth - all while maintaining our financial day-to-day operations. 


The kinds of problems you’ll help us solve:

  • How might we best model current and future business investments to drive solution line growth?

  • How might we track and communicate key business metrics across the business?

  • How might we drive forecasting and budgets within teams to maximize company growth?


How you’ll solve those problems:

Model future business investments across solution lines

  • Work with product owners to understand current solution line progress and create standard metrics across solution lines

  • Create a reporting cadence on current and future solution lines that holds each business area accountable

  • Develop a market analysis for assessing current and future solution lines

Align all company financial reporting for consistency across teams

  • Work with business leaders to understand current team level metrics and reporting systems

  • Establish a central location for all company reporting and use it to drive company transparency on goals

Drive forecasting process to maximize company growth

  • Create and edit annual planning process to update forecasting and growth plans

  • Develop a formal budgeting, expense policy and procedures to support team-level accountability to the financial plan

  • Run payroll, month-end financials and other general accounting items as the sole financial company resource

  • Prepare monthly financials and board meeting packets in conjunction with the CEO for the board of directors

You’ll help us solve those problems if you:

  • Communicate effectively at all levels of an organization, from individual contributors to C-level

  • Are customer focused, highly responsive, organized and results-driven

  • Desire to independently interact with multi-functional teams

  • Have 3-5 years of financial reporting or analysis work

  • Have experience in Quickbooks, payroll processes and/or other financial reporting technologies
