This template identifies geographies where at least 500 seniors (age 65+) have low access to food. The Food Access Research Atlas defines low access to healthy food as being far from a supermarket, supercenter, or large grocery store. When aggregating the information to the census tracts, the "tract is designated as low access if the aggregate number of people in the census tract with low access is at least 500 or the percentage of people in the census tract with low access it as least 33 percent."
